Hoy nos tocó madrugar más de lo habitual. Al principio costó un poco levantarse, pero en cuanto nos sentamos a desayunar juntos, con las risas y las bromas de siempre, el sueño empezó a desaparecer. Sabíamos que nos esperaba un día especial en el centro de Málaga y la emoción estaba en el aire desde primera hora.
Nuestro primer destino fue la Alcazaba. Nada más entrar me impresionaron las murallas y los patios llenos de historia. El guía nos iba contando anécdotas y detalles que me ayudaban a imaginar cómo había sido la vida en aquel lugar siglos atrás. Lo que más me sorprendió fueron las vistas desde lo alto: contemplar Málaga desde allí, con el puerto y el mar de fondo, fue sencillamente espectacular. No podía dejar de sacar fotos.
Today we had to wake up earlier than usual. At first, it was a bit hard to get out of bed, but as soon as we sat down to have breakfast together, with the usual laughter and jokes, the sleepiness started to fade away. We knew a special day awaited us in the center of Málaga, and the excitement was in the air from the very beginning.
Our first destination was the Alcazaba. As soon as we entered, I was impressed by the walls and courtyards filled with history. The guide told us anecdotes and details that helped me imagine what life must have been like in that place centuries ago. What surprised me the most were the views from the top: looking out over Málaga, with the port and the sea in the background, was simply breathtaking. I couldn’t stop taking photos.
Al terminar la visita, llegamos a la Plaza de la Constitución, donde nos anunciaron que íbamos a participar en una yincana fotográfica. Nos dividieron en grupos y nos lanzamos a recorrer la ciudad cámara en mano. Durante la actividad pasamos por lugares emblemáticos: la catedral, el teatro, el puerto y hasta el faro. Entre las pruebas, las fotos y las carreras por llegar antes que otros equipos, no paramos de reírnos. Fue cansado, sí, porque caminamos muchísimo, pero a la vez muy divertido y una forma distinta de conocer la ciudad y de compartir momentos con compañeros con los que quizá hasta ahora no había hablado tanto.
When the visit ended, we arrived at the Plaza de la Constitución, where we were told we would take part in a photo scavenger hunt. We were divided into groups and set off to explore the city with our cameras in hand. During the activity, we passed by iconic places such as the cathedral, the theater, the port, and even the lighthouse. Between the challenges, the pictures, and running to get ahead of the other teams, we couldn’t stop laughing. It was exhausting, yes, because we walked a lot, but at the same time it was great fun and a different way to get to know the city while sharing moments with classmates I maybe hadn’t spent much time with before.
Al mediodía nos llevaron a un albergue muy acogedor que ya conocíamos de otras visitas. Nada más sentarnos a la mesa, sentimos esa comodidad de estar en un lugar familiar. La comida supo a gloria, no solo porque teníamos hambre, sino porque el ambiente era de lo más agradable: entre anécdotas del día y recuerdos de jornadas anteriores, no faltaron las carcajadas. Fue un momento perfecto para recargar pilas.
Después, regresamos al centro de Málaga y tuvimos la tarde libre. Yo aproveché para pasear por las calles del casco antiguo, perderme entre sus tiendas y disfrutar de un café en una terraza mientras observaba el ambiente malagueño. Otros compañeros prefirieron ir a la playa o visitar algún museo, y al final, al reencontrarnos, cada uno tenía algo diferente que contar.
At midday, we were taken to a very cozy hostel we already knew from previous visits. As soon as we sat down at the table, we felt that comfort of being in a familiar place. The food tasted amazing, not only because we were hungry, but also because the atmosphere was so warm: between anecdotes of the day and memories from previous ones, the laughter never stopped. It was the perfect moment to recharge our batteries.
Afterwards, we returned to the center of Málaga and had the afternoon free. I decided to wander around the old town streets, get lost among the shops, and enjoy a coffee on a terrace while watching the lively atmosphere of the city. Some of my classmates preferred going to the beach, others visited museums, and in the end, when we met again, each of us had a different story to tell.
Cuando cayó la tarde, nos reunimos todos en el punto acordado para tomar el autobús de vuelta al albergue. El cansancio ya se notaba en nuestras caras, pero también la satisfacción de haber vivido un día intenso y lleno de experiencias. Durante el trayecto de regreso, algunos seguíamos comentando lo más divertido de la yincana, mientras otros cerraban los ojos para descansar un poco.
Ahora, mirando atrás, me doy cuenta de que este quinto día fue uno de los más completos: cultura, actividad, convivencia, risas y también tiempo para descubrir Málaga a nuestro ritmo. Me voy a dormir agotado, sí, pero con la sensación de haber vivido algo único y con muchas ganas de lo que aún nos queda por disfrutar en esta aventura Erasmus+.
When evening came, we all gathered at the meeting point to take the bus back to the hostel. The tiredness was already visible on our faces, but so was the satisfaction of having lived such an intense and enriching day. On the way back, some of us kept commenting on the funniest parts of the scavenger hunt, while others closed their eyes to get some rest.
Now, looking back, I realize that this fifth day was one of the most complete: culture, activity, friendship, laughter, and also time to discover Málaga at our own pace. I go to bed exhausted, yes, but with the feeling of having experienced something unique and with great excitement for everything that still lies ahead in this Erasmus+ adventure.
