Hoy ha sido nuestro cuarto día en este pedazo de Erasmus en Torremolinos, y lo hemos arrancado a las 9:00 con el desayuno de rigor. Ya es tradición: charlas, risas y cargar las pilas porque aquí nadie perdona ni una tostada.
Después bajamos a la sala común para empezar la jornada con energía. El equipo turco nos preparó un juego de activación: ¡las sillas musicales! Entre empujoncillos (con cariño), carreras y piques sanos, acabó ganando… cómo no, el equipo español, con Lucía dejándose la piel hasta el último acorde.
Con las risas todavía frescas, tocó ponernos serios (o al menos intentarlo). La siguiente actividad era rellenar una tabla con nuestras fortalezas, debilidades y habilidades. Fue gracioso ver cómo cada uno se describía (alguno puso “dormir mucho” como habilidad). Después lo compartimos con gente de otros países y descubrimos que, aunque tengamos distintas banderas, al final nos parecemos más de lo que pensábamos. Coffee break y a seguir.
Today was our fourth day in this amazing Erasmus project in Torremolinos, and we kicked it off at 9:00 with the usual breakfast. By now it’s tradition: chatting, laughing, and loading up on energy—because here nobody misses a single toast.
After that, we headed down to the common room to start the day with some energy. The Turkish team had prepared a warm-up game: musical chairs! Between little pushes (the friendly kind), dashes, and healthy competition, the winner ended up being… of course, Team Spain, with Lucía giving it her all until the very last note.
Still laughing from the game, we tried to get serious (or at least pretend to). The next activity was to fill out a chart with our strengths, weaknesses, and skills. It was pretty funny to see how everyone described themselves (someone even wrote “sleeping a lot” as a skill). Then we shared it with people from other countries and realized that, even if we wave different flags, we’re more alike than we thought. Coffee break, and back to it.
El siguiente reto fue rollo Mad Men: marketing y publicidad. Inventamos productos de lo más loco y grabamos anuncios que ni en prime time. La creatividad se nos salió por las orejas, y entre tomas falsas y risas, alguno se descubrió como futuro actor.
Tras eso, tocaba comida y plan relax en la piscina. Ahí se lió: partiditas al UNO (con discusiones sobre las reglas, como siempre), voley improvisado y chapuzones inesperados.
A las 17:00 volvimos a la sala común, medio arrugados del agua pero con ganas. Arrancamos con un juego de activación llamado Ji, ja, jo, propuesto por los rumanos y turcos. Costaba mantener la seriedad, la verdad. Luego llegó el momento de ver los anuncios grabados por la mañana: auténticas obras maestras del humor. El jurado lo tuvo difícil, pero seis se llevaron premio. Eso sí, aquí nadie se va de vacío, así que hasta los “no ganadores” tuvieron su detalle.
Next came a Mad Men-style challenge: marketing and advertising. We came up with crazy new products and recorded ads that could have aired in prime time. Creativity was everywhere, and between bloopers and laughter, some people definitely discovered their inner actor.
After that, it was time for lunch and some poolside relaxation. And yes, things escalated quickly: UNO matches (with the usual rule debates), impromptu volleyball, and unexpected splash attacks.
By 5:00 p.m., we were back in the common room—wrinkled from the pool but ready to go. We kicked off with a warm-up game called Ji, ja, jo, led by the Romanian and Turkish teams. Hard to keep a straight face, honestly. Then came the big moment: watching the ads we had filmed earlier. Pure comedy gold! The jury had a tough job, but six ads took home prizes. Still, no one left empty-handed—everybody got a little something.
Con esto cerramos la tarde y nos preparamos para la cena y, después, la gran Noche Intercultural de Rumanía y Macedonia del Norte.
Los rumanos fueron los primeros. Nos pusieron un vídeo sobre su país, luego nos hicieron sufrir con trabalenguas imposibles (spoiler: no hay lengua humana capaz de decirlos a la primera), y acabamos bailando al ritmo de su música tradicional. También hubo un Kahoot de cultura rumana… y sí, otra vez lo ganó España.
Después fue el turno de Macedonia del Norte. Vídeo de presentación, otro Kahoot (¿adivináis quién ganó? Exacto, España otra vez) y un baile típico para acabar todos dándolo todo en la pista.
Y lo mejor para el final: ¡la comida! Probamos platos típicos de ambos países y nos pusimos finos. Entre la comida, la música y las risas, cerramos el día con un ambientazo de diez.
En resumen: juegos, anuncios de Oscar, piques en el UNO, bailes internacionales y mucha convivencia. Otro día más que se nos pasa volando y que vamos a recordar siempre.
With that, we wrapped up the afternoon and got ready for dinner and then the big Intercultural Night with Romania and North Macedonia.
Romania went first. They showed us a video about their country, then tortured us (lovingly) with impossible tongue twisters (spoiler: no human tongue can get them right on the first try). We ended up dancing to their traditional music, and of course, there was a Romanian culture Kahoot… which Spain won again.
Then came North Macedonia’s turn. They also shared a video, followed by another Kahoot (guess who won? Yep, Spain again), and they wrapped things up with a traditional dance where everyone jumped in.
And the cherry on top: the food! We got to taste typical dishes from both countries, and wow, we did not hold back. Between the food, the music, and the laughs, we ended the day with an amazing vibe.
In short: games, Oscar-worthy ads, heated UNO battles, international dances, and tons of bonding. Another day that flew by and will definitely stay in our memories.
